Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Tradelog collects, why, and the choices you have. It is run by [Your business name] ("we"). You can reach us at support@example.com.
What we collect
- Account details: your mobile number, your name (optional), and your password. The password is stored only as a salted one-way hash, so we cannot read it. We also record when you accepted our Terms and Privacy Policy.
- Your journal: the trades, notes, setups, reviews, settings and screenshots that you enter or upload.
- Technical data: a login cookie, your IP address (used briefly for security limits, kept up to 24 hours), and error reports. An error report holds the error message, the page, and your browser type. It never includes your trades or notes, and is kept for 30 days.
- If SMS verification is switched on: your mobile number is sent to our SMS provider so the code can be delivered.
How we use it
To run the service, keep your account secure, prevent abuse, fix bugs, and contact you about the service. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use third-party analytics or tracking.
Who else handles your data
- Cloudflare hosts the website and database and carries the traffic. Your data may therefore be processed outside India.
- Google Fonts: when you open our pages your browser loads fonts from Google, which receives your IP address and browser details.
- An SMS provider, only when SMS verification is on.
- A payment provider, only if we introduce paid plans. We will update this policy first.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it.
Cookies and local storage
We use one essential cookie that keeps you logged in (about 30 days). The app also keeps a copy of your journal and your preferences in your browser's local storage so it is quick to use. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
Security
Data is sent over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and we limit repeated login and OTP attempts. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account from the Account page, your profile, journal, reviews and screenshots are deleted from our database straight away. Backups kept by our hosting provider may hold the data for a limited time afterwards.
Your choices
- Access and copy: Account → Download all my data.
- Correct: edit your name and your trades in the app.
- Delete: Account → Delete my account. You can also withdraw consent this way.
- Questions or complaints: write to support@example.com. We will respond to privacy requests promptly.
Children
Tradelog is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the app.
